Usami tells Yuka and Tsurugi that Maru’s true identity as an alien is no longer a secret after the Simurians were accidentally revealed. The siblings are assigned to keep working with him, but Tsurugi is quietly told to watch Maru closely in case he has hidden intentions.

Their next mission involves a strange case at an elementary school. A boy named Masaki—whose real name is Masayoshi—has somehow been repeating first grade for three years. There are fears that a curse user might be disguising themselves as a child and harming families.

When Tsurugi and Maru follow the boy, they discover he is protected by a mysterious spirit. During the confrontation, the truth comes out: three years ago, Masayoshi found his mother dead and wished he could stay in first grade forever. Somehow, his uncontrolled cursed energy made that wish come true.

At his home, they uncover heartbreaking evidence of what really happened. Instead of treating him like a criminal, Tsurugi comforts the boy and promises he will be taken to Jujutsu High to learn how to control his powers and start over safely.
